COVID 19 has had an effect on the industry. Cinemas shut. Films due to release in 2020 delayed to 2021 such as black widow, new top gun, Wonder Woman 1984 and a quiet place part 2. Millions of people around the world in the film industry have no next job for them.  The film industry has had a hard time. Many different companies in different countries. The first reaction was to delay release dates. It messes up a release time table which ends up with a crowded release window so they will all be competing with each other. Choose which films that are more important to release as films will be stacking up. If they find a release window then a company would have to compete with themselves so they have to choose the most important film to release. The second trolls movie went into streaming by universal pictures. Made it digital rental on platforms like Apple TV for $19.99. It ended up making 100000000 on rentals. This was bad news for Cinema chains as this move  was successful and could make cinemas out of businesses. amc came out and said that they would not sell any universal movies on their cinemas. Universal announce a 17 day period for films. Tenet came out directed by Christopher Nolan. It made 55 million domestically and made 350 million worldwide. It had a 200 million dollar budget and was released in cinemas but it was considered a failure because it did not make as much money as they expected. Disney launch Disney plus which had been planned for a long time before lockdown but it was a good time to release it. Mulan was released on Disney + as their first payed for stream. It cost $29.99  in the states. It got a cinema release where it was available. There was backlash in the States.  because of how much money it cost on Disney+. They lost money. Disney responded by releasing the movie Soul which is a Pixar film in Christmas for free. Artomous foul was released and did not get much of a response. Hamilton was released for free on Disney+. Raya the last dragon was released on Disney+ For free. Black Widow is set for a Cinema release. A James Bond movie deal might happen with Netflix. HBO Max was released, it was in preparation since before the pandemic but was released in the pandemic by Warner bros. At and T make phones that are providing hardware for American buyers so buying Warner brltos would mean that they would have content which is HBO max to stream on their hardware which is their phones. Warne bros decided to release streaming release an cinema Release at the same time for their 2021 Films such as the Matrix 4. Warner bros released Wonder Woman 1984 on the 16th December 2021 on various Streaming services, on HBOMAX and in available Cinemas. Nolan attacked Warner bros after HBO announce their release in cinema and streaming.

 The first album that the artist in the music video has made is called greatest hits. The album cover is just a Vinyl with a red background. It does not really tell much about the artist or the album whatsoever. It is very basic and is probably trying to say that the music is more important than the album. In the music video that I chose does not really relate to his very first album very much as his first album does not really show anything . His music video is much later in his career where he has become more successful. This album cover does not really say anything. His future album covers are more creative and clearly show the theme of his music videos much more effectively and this album cover shows not much as he is just starting out.

Delicatessen opening

  I will be analysing the opening sequence to the movie Delicatessen. The exposition to this sequence is used to set the time and place of this film. In the sequence, non – diegetic sounds of Accordion music is played in the background. This is used to set the location. It shows that this movie is set in France. This movie also sets the time of film. There is an establishing shot of thick yellow fog and there are broken buildings. This helps create the setting of this film. It shows that war has occurred. The camera slowly zooms into a door. There are diegetic, pleonastic sounds of a knife being sharpened. The camera zooms into this knife and the chief sharpening it. This shows that this chief is an important character in the film at the beginning there is barely any music in the background. This creates a dark tone to this sequence.
